SPAIN, HOME OF THE CORRUPT
The Gürtel case is one of the most famous political corruption scandals in Spain. It implicates the majority of the Partido Popular (or PP), the major Spanish right wing party. The case came to public attention in 2009 but most of the suspects were not put on trial until 2016. Oh, the Spanish justice system, so slow and blind…
A lot of big names were mentioned in the investigation of this case but that didn’t stop them from continuing to accept bribes and carry on being in important political positions. For example there is Francisco Camps, a politician in the capital of corruption or, as it is known in the rest of Spain, Valencia. These “misunderstood” politicians had the support of the news and media who covered the situation as best they could, but when the President of the Spanish government is involved it gets harder and harder to cover the facts. Mariano Rajoy (our amazingly qualified President) keeps saying that he doesn’t know anything and hasn’t done anything. Well, why does such a great President have no idea what is going on in his own party?
Evidence has been found that our good friend Rajoy has accepted money as a bribe and is involved in this corruption case. Don’t worry though, Rajoy has a lot of friends that support him including the judge who is currently working the case as well as the media.
At least he is not as bad as Trump…
